Join a Growing Specialty Skin Team Bringing Dermatologic Care Closer to Home

MaineHealth Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Specialty Skin practice serving Midcoast Maine. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a high-demand specialty clinic focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of skin conditions while helping expand access to dermatologic care in our communities.

As a valued member of the Specialty Skin team, you will work collaboratively with a growing team of providers, including an board-certified dermatologists, experienced Advanced Practice Providers, family medicine physicians, and general surgeons. The practice benefits from a strong referral network and serves patients across the region who might otherwise need to travel significant distances for specialty skin care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with dermatologic and skin-related conditions
  • Perform comprehensive skin examinations and skin cancer screenings
  • Manage benign and malignant skin lesions in collaboration with supervising physicians and dermatology colleagues
  • Perform office-based dermatologic procedures within scope of practice
  • Educate patients on prevention, treatment plans, and long-term skin health
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and referring clinicians to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Support access initiatives and practice growth through flexible coverage across regional locations in Belfast and Rockport, ME

The ideal candidate is a patient-centered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment and is passionate about improving access to specialty skin care. They possess strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to patient care. Success in this role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to support patients across multiple practice locations as needed. The successful candidate will enjoy building relationships, managing a high-volume patient panel, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care close to home.

This Position Offers:

  • At MaineHealth, we recognize the value each team member brings to our organization. Total compensation packages may include, based on eligibility, recruitment payments, relocation assistance, shift differentials, productivity-based incentives, quality incentives and other premiums.
  • The pay range for this position is $124,356 to $160,931 annually based on the candidate's level of experience.
