Job DescriptionNurse Manager - Nursing Admin at Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Variable shifts.The Nurse Manager of a patient care unit or service maintains 24-hour accountability for the clinical leadership of staff. Responsible for overall personnel and fiscal management, clinical standards development, staff development, and the continuous improvement of activities within assigned areas. Through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers and others, reviews, analyzes and recommends changes in practice to work toward achieving Queen of the Valley Medical Center's goal to become a Center of Excellence. Practice is in accordance with Joint Commission standards, State and Federal regulatory criteria, and professional practice standards. Proficiency is demonstrated in the required competencies. Performs all duties under minimal supervision.
Manages and supervises House Supervisors, Staffing Office, and Float Pool. Performs managerial functions as related to the role. Upholds Ministry's Mission, Vision and Values at all times and works in conjunction with direct supervisor and other matrix related relationships. Deals with daily activities as it relates to the Ministry's throughput and overall safety and compliance. Coaches and disciplines as needed, follows high reliability and just culture standards. Provides for timely communication and resolution of matters. Escalates concerns as needed and follows chain of command. Works on projects, process improvement work as assigned. Ensures census and staffing is in accordance with planned matrix, plans ahead proactively looking at staffing while escalating concerns.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years relevant clinical experience
- Nursing experience with manager or supervisory experience

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
