What You'll DoAs the
Nurse Manager - Medical Surgical, you will provide leadership for 24-hour nursing operations while fostering an environment focused on quality, safety, service excellence, and caregiver engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily operations of the Medical Surgical unit, including staffing, patient outcomes, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance
- Lead, mentor, and develop nursing teams while promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth
- Drive recruitment, retention, engagement, and succession planning efforts
- Monitor operational and financial performance to achieve departmental goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care delivery
- Support strategic initiatives and organizational priorities
- Evaluate performance, conduct annual reviews, and provide ongoing coaching
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, accreditation, and organizational standards
- Promote clinical excellence, patient safety, and exceptional patient experiences
- Participate in patient care activities as needed
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; WA RN license by date of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
- Minimum three years of related nursing experience
- Minimum two years of leadership experience
- Demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities, such as Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or similar leadership roles
- Financial and budget management experience
