Position Description Are you a Registered Nurse looking to grow in a leadership role where you can make a meaningful impact on patient care and team development? As a
Nurse Manager , you will provide
clinical and administrative oversight for your assigned unit(s), guiding a team of nurses and residential treatment staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a safe and therapeutic environment.
What You'll Do In this role, you'll:
- Lead and coordinate the nursing process - assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive care plans.
- Supervise nursing staff and residential treatment assistants, ensuring accurate documentation and a therapeutic environment for individuals served.
- Monitor staffing, scheduling, and resource management while promoting efficiency and quality outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to support positive clinical outcomes and the best experience for individuals served.
- Mentor, coach, and evaluate staff through performance management, training, and professional development.
- Promote safety, compliance, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Serve as a liaison for families, visitors, and other departments, ensuring strong communication and trust.
What We're Looking For Education - Preferred (outside California): Bachelor's degree in Nursing, healthcare, or a related field.
- Required (California-based): Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience - Required (outside California): Three (3) years as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Required (California-based): Two (2) years as a nurse.
- Preferred: Experience in a forensic or mental health setting.
Licenses/Certifications - Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment OR a valid multi-state compact license.
- Completion of any client-mandated certifications or training.
