Position OverviewThe Procurement Quality Engineer supports the Manager - Quality Management Systems in providing quality assurance oversight of the acquisition process by interfacing with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Quality Managers in acquisition planning, Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) process, development of procurement documents, and supplier oversight.
LocationThis position may be remote with occasional travel to KNS District and Project offices and supplier facilities as needed.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the Procurement Engineering function including participation with the development of commercial grade dedication technical evaluations working in support of applicable engineering disciplines.
- Conduct Commercial Grade Surveys and/or Source Verifications in support of Commercial Grade Dedication activities at supplier facilities and KNS Projects.
- Assist in the development of procurement specifications that specify technical and quality requirements derived from commercial grade dedication plans.
- Lead in the assembly of Commercial Grade Dedication Packages for closure, including coordinating final Engineering and Project Teams reviews as applicable.
- Develop strong working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, and management team.
- May participate in quality assessments as assigned.
- Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications- A four-year science degree plus 8 years of experience in a related field.
- An associate degree plus 10 years of experience in a related field (at least 3 of these years in a quality position.
- Current certified Nuclear Auditor, or preferred Nuclear Lead Auditor.

Base Compensation: $112,000/yr - $117,000/yr
