Job Summary
We are seeking an individual with hands-on knowledge of NoSQL database administration, including technologies such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, SingleStore, and StarDog, deployed on Linux VMs and Kubernetes. This role involves the creation and implementation of NoSQL database clusters and the maintenance of multiple production and non-production environments. The position requires experience in troubleshooting, upgrades, configuration management, and patching, along with skills in Ansible automation, OLAM playbook development, and AI Native development for platform support.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day administration, support, and maintenance for new and existing NoSQL databases on Linux VMs and Kubernetes.
• Develop and manage Ansible automation and OLAM playbooks on Linux VMs and Kubernetes.
• Utilize AI Native development skills for Spec Driven Development (SDD).
• Assist in planning and executing database patching, upgrades, and resource expansion to ensure scalability.
• Perform debugging, tuning, and performance enhancement of the NoSQL database platform.
• Monitor database health, High Availability, Disaster Recovery solutions, and Backup/Recovery operations.
• Design and develop database systems to meet application and business requirements across multiple platforms.
• Provide guidance on best practices and standards for database-related activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
• 12+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or 8+ years of related experience with a master's degree in the design, maintenance, and administration of NoSQL databases on Linux VMs and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation and OLAM playbook development for NoSQL database platform provisioning, installation, and administration.
• Proficiency with NoSQL database administration, including technologies such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, SingleStore, and StarDog.
• Experience with Neo4j and StarDog is particularly relevant.
• Familiarity with AI Native Spec Driven Development (SDD).
• Deep understanding of database principles, cluster management, replication, and multi-datacenter configuration.
• Knowledge of monitoring, management, capacity planning, and compaction strategies.
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery, connectivity, and security.
• Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
• Must be versatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional certifications in Ansible automation development, DataStax Cassandra, Elasticsearch, or Neo4j are preferred.
