We have an opportunity for a New Product Development Engineer to join our Bishop Woods, WI team. You will:
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new and existing Everpure Home products
    • Drive enhancements to the new-to-world Naia product
    • Collaborate and bring to life future Everpure Home products that expand the portfolio
  • Own mechanical design from concept through production, including:
    • CAD models and engineering drawings
    • Tolerance analysis, DFMEA, and specification development
    • Prototyping, testing, and validation
  • Design and conduct full system testing that integrate all aspects of product performance
  • Drive product enhancements focused on performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Apply design-for-manufacturing (DFM/DFA) principles for injection-molded, sheet metal, and assembled components
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in:
    • Product management
    • Chemical, electrical, and software engineering
    • Operations, technical service, supply chain, and technology development
  • Support product launch and production ramp-up, including engineering changes and issue resolution
  • Work directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners to evaluate designs, materials, tooling, and cost tradeoffs
  • Document design details, test results, and perform go-to-market engineering processes such as DFMEA and DVPNR.
  • Contribute to our NPD stage-gate process, balancing urgency with technical rigor
  • Help shape and improve engineering processes as our team and portfolio grow

Key Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of engineering design experience with a focus on consumer products or appliances.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with excellent critical thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity and strong abilities with CAD programs such as Solidworks.
  • Experience using engineering tools (FMEA's, DOE, DVP&R, RCCM, PLM, Risk Analysis, Statistics, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of product improvement processes.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Manufacturing familiarity and comfortable interfacing with all levels of a manufacturing organization.
  • Highly detail oriented, organized and organizationally agile individual.
  • Experience in residential appliance design is preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include injection molding design, sheet metal design, and design-for-manufacturability experience.

Travel:
  • Need for flexible domestic and international travel according to business necessity as responsibilities may require project oversight with other Pentair global facilities (


Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
