    Role Description:
    Pixxel is seeking a highly motivated IT/Network Engineer to develop, implement, manage and protect our network infrastructure and IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a dedication to optimizing network performance/security, have an understanding of cybersecurity and reduce overall risks associated with technology infrastructures.

    Responsibilities & Duties:
    • Plan, design, and deploy network solutions that meet the organization's needs.
    • Configure and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
    • Set up and deploy employee hardware
    • Administer and troubleshoot servers and workstations, ensuring system reliability and performance.
    • Monitor and maintain network performance daily, implementing enhancements as necessary.
    • Implement and manage security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with best practices.
    • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments and audits.
    • Diagnose and resolve network issues and outages swiftly.
    • Provide technical support to end-users and assist with software and hardware issues.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and policies.
    • Generate reports on network performance, uptime, and security incidents.
    • Work closely with other IT professionals and departments to support company-wide projects.
    • Develop plan and train staff on network safety, new technologies, network protocols, and company network guidelines.
    • Lead the process for updating existing (and developing new) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and NIST 800-171 standards, and other data protection requirements.

    Desirable Skills & Certifications:
    • A strong understanding of Cybersecurity Systems Engineering in accordance to industry standards, such as NIST 800-53 RMF and ISO 27001
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
    • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation tasks.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
    • Hands-on experience with Meraki/Cisco firewalls,VPN, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools
    • Security assessment of technical architecture and solutions
    • Ability to pick company tools and protocols
    • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, MAC) and network monitoring tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
    • Hands-on experience in security systems, including vulnerability management, identity, and access management, security risk assessments, application testing, etc.
    • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
