You will own the health, performance, and security of both our enterprise/campus LAN-WAN footprint and our cloud networking, working as part of a distributed team to keep connectivity fast, reliable, and secure. This is a hands-on role with significant influence over architecture and standards.
What You'll Do - Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise and campus LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switching, routing, wireless, and SD-WAN.
- Architect and manage cloud networking across AWS/Azure- VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, transit gateways, VPN, and hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect / ExpressRoute).
- Lead network capacity planning, performance tuning, and resilience/high-availability design.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls in partnership with the security team.
- Monitor network health using observability and monitoring tools; troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity, latency, and performance issues.
- Automate network provisioning and configuration management using scripting and infrastructure-as-code.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and standards.
- Respond to and lead resolution of network incidents, including occasional on-call participation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on network design decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, IT support) to support business and project needs.
