The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a senior Network Engineer to support Department of Defense customers across the European theater, including US European Command (EUCOM). This position focuses on advanced troubleshooting, sustainment, and operational support of enterprise and secure network infrastructure in a mission-focused environment. The role includes support for secure remote access solutions (CSfC, IPsec, and DMVPN remote kits).

Responsibilities:

Provide advanced support for secure DoD enterprise and datacenter network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and mission readiness across geographically dispersed sites.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex routing and switching environments, including standard protocols and advanced transport methods (DMVPN, MPLS Segment-Routing).
Support and maintain datacenter network fabrics using Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus switching platforms.
Support and maintain Palo Alto and Cisco Firepower firewalls, including centralized management platforms (Panorama, FMC).
Assist with administration and troubleshooting of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for secure endpoint access, policy enforcement, and Zero Trust architecture support.
Support Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for network management, automation, and Software-Defined Access (SDA).
Support provisioning, keying, and maintenance of KG encryptors (e.g., TACLANE) to secure classified and mission-critical traffic.
Configure, operate, sustain, and troubleshoot secure remote access solutions, including CSfC components, IPsec tunnels, and DMVPN-based remote kits.
Assist with core network services including Citrix NetScaler and Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
Perform advanced configuration, patching, performance tuning, and documentation of network devices and supporting infrastructure.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and single points of failure.
Coordinate with network services, Information Assurance, systems engineering, and asset management teams to resolve complex issues.
Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of network and endpoint equipment.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Participate in problem management processes, including root-cause analysis, escalation, tracking, and after-action reporting.
Interface with vendors for hardware and software support on complex issues.
Provide remote support and travel to customer sites as required.
Communicate clearly and professionally with client managers, system users, and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS + 3 years recent specialized or AA/AS +5 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 9 years of recent specialized experience
  • Current Secret Clearance – Ability to Obtain TS/SCI
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Industry knowledge and experience, including current industry trends and challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a team player mindset.
  • Security Certifications (CEH, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent – IAT Level II)
  • DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (Security+ or higher)
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise routing, switching, and VPN technologies (including DMVPN and IPsec)
  • Experience supporting firewalls (Palo Alto and/or Cisco Firepower) preferred
  • Familiarity with Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, KG encryptors, Citrix NetScaler, or Infoblox is a plus
  • Experience with CSfC or similar secure remote access solutions preferred
  • Proven ability to resolve complex network issues independently

Desired:

  • Experience working with IT customers within the Department of Defense.
  • Experience with Aruba Mobility controllers and Remote Access Points (RAPs),
  • Experience with NSA CSfC Capability Packages and accredited components
  • Excellent Troubleshooting Skills
