Job Summary:The Network Engineer is responsible for the administration, performance, and continuous improvement of the company's campus-wide network infrastructure. This role performs advanced network configuration, troubleshooting, and system enhancements while collaborating with internal teams and customers to support network changes, expansions, and reliable business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Plan, deploy, and coordinate all network projects and changes by managing project timelines, implementing network upgrades, coordinating system migrations, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during planned maintenance and infrastructure changes.
- Administer and maintain the campus-wide network infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, security, and optimal performance of wired, wireless, and enterprise network services that support daily business operations.
- Monitor network utilization, performance, and security events using network monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues, analyze network trends, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the Global IT team on network proposals, designs, and implementations.
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to improve network performance, scalability, reliability, and security while supporting business growth and ensuring alignment with industry's best practices.
- Coordinate and administer third-party vendor installations and services by working with service providers, contractors, and equipment vendors to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware, telecommunications, and related infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive network documentation including network diagrams, architecture designs, IP addressing schemes, configuration standards, operating procedures, and technical documentation for campus-wide network infrastructure.
- Provide network support for CCTV, access control, and other physical security systems by ensuring reliable network connectivity, troubleshooting communication issues, and collaborating with security and facilities teams to support critical security infrastructure.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge and stay current with emerging networking technologies.
- General knowledge of infrastructure, including data centers and server services.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:- Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise network administration, engineering, or infrastructure support.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining campus-wide LAN/WAN, wireless, and network infrastructure in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPN technologies.
