In this role as a Network and Data Center Branch Chief, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing enterprise network and data center operations to ensure reliability and performance.

- Managing security controls and ensuring protection of network and data center infrastructure.
- Coordinating COOP and Disaster Recovery exercises and tracking corrective actions.

- Planning and executing infrastructure service work and operational maintenance activities.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. BASIC REQUIREMENT: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement below.
SK-15: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level:
- Providing technical and operational oversight of enterprise-class network or data center environments to ensure availability, resilience, and alignment with organizational IT objectives;
- Leading engineering teams responsible for planning, securing, or modernizing large-scale network or data center infrastructures in support of agency-wide operational needs; and
- Overseeing implementation of information security requirements within network or data center operations to ensure compliance with established policies.

- Information Systems / Network Security: Implements and uses methods, tools, and procedures, including the development of information security plans and standards, to prevent information systems vulnerabilities and provide or restore privacy and security of applications, information systems, and/or network services.
- Technology Awareness: Uses technological developments, new requirements, and new applications of information technology (hardware, software, and telecommunications), emerging technologies and their integration into business processes, and implementation of information systems to meet organizational requirements.
- Program Management: Ability to develop and execute programs to deliver results that efficiently and effectively meet agency's mission, strategic plan and goals, with little or no guidance.
