rockITdata is seeking a Network & Computer Systems Admin to join our team. This role will provide onsite technical support and assistance by deploying to field offices of a large federal program. The position is onsite, at Fort Shafter.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct network performance evaluations
- Ensuring the reliability and security of critical IT infrastructure
- System monitoring
- Patch management
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 8 years of experience in systems administration for Windows, Linux, or VMware environments
- Excellent knowledge of relevant operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Red Hat, CentOS) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, ESXi).
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and experienced with system monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintains currency with industry trends and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, RHCSA, RHCE, VMware Certified Professional - VCP)
- Familiar with Government IT environment, regulatory requirements, data security best practices and policies
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
