Position: Network Administrator Primary Location: Washington, DC 20534
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift
Clearance Required: Public Trust Clearance - must be able to obtain and maintain prior to performance
RESPONSIBILITIES - Administer FPI network resources and access under direction of the Government Lead Network Administrator
- Install and configure computer networks and systems
- Identify and resolve problems that arise with computer networks and systems
- Assemble new systems; maintain and upgrade existing hardware and software
- Monitor computer networks and systems to identify performance improvements
- Work with IT support personnel to provide comprehensive network administration and support
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - Minimum 7 years of networking experience
- CompTIA Network+ Certification can substitute for 2 years of the required 7 years of experience
- Cisco CCNA Certification can substitute for 3 years of the required 7 years of experience
- Note: Certifications may be combined - e.g., Network+ (2 yrs) + CCNA (3 yrs) = up to 5 years substitution, requiring only 2 years additional hands-on experience
CERTIFICATIONS - CompTIA Network+ - substitutes for 2 years of required networking experience
- Cisco CCNA - substitutes for 3 years of required networking experience
