NDT Level III (UT)/Quality EngineerJob Summary: The assurance that all external and internal and NDT quality requirements have been adhered to and incorporated into all aspects of manufacturing in order to ensure the quality integrity of products and systems.
Assure Wyman-Gordon's Quality systems and procedures satisfy government and customer requirements and assure compliance of product shipped to contractual requirements. This role will be exposed to all aspects of quality including but not limited to audit, data analysis, corrective actions, process improvement/control, product certification and export control.
Working Procedure:- Insure compliance and remain main point of contact for customer and internal audits
- Drive quality investigations and root cause analysis for NDT issues
- Compliance to Specifications (Internal and External)
Performs professional Quality Engineering assignments of considerable complexity under limited direction supervision ie. Conducts statistical analysis in the form of capability studies, DOE's, etc to evaluate processes.
- Maintain internal and customer requirements in QMS system.
- Conducts internal and external audits and supplier surveys to verify capability and/or compliance.
- Host customer and third party audits.
Perform other related duties in the department as directed by supervision
Education and Qualifications:- Ultrasonic - immersion
- NAS 410/ASNT
- Experience in Immersion Ultrasonic methods.
- Knowledge and ability to use internal and commercially available computer systems to obtain and issue information.
Special Skills and Physical Requirements:- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to convey technical and conceptual material to individuals at all levels in customer organizations as well as within Wyman Gordon.
- Proficiency at multi-tasking.
- Detail oriented.
- Good math skills.
- Able to solve complex issues, mental concentration for sustained work periods, patience and leadership.
US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts.Relocation is authorized for this position.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $110,000 to $140000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
