Job Description

The National Field Manager (NFM) will manage Field Operations Managers nationwide and has the potential to manage other positions. NFM will lead the field management team for the entire program nationwide, partnering with the client, client services team, Talent Acquisition/Onboarding teams overseeing the hiring process of field teams. In addition, the NFM will partner closely with the Internal Operations and Client Operations teams on mass communication needs, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) needs, reporting needs, KPIs, compliance and bonus measurements for Field Ops Managers.

The NFM will also work directly with the Field Ops Managers on weekly priorities for the team and performance management escalations. NFM will closely manage payroll to ensure unapproved overtime is minimized, ensure hourly budgets and expenses by store are closely monitored, and hold team accountable to established KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • The NFM will have weekly calls with the client, weekly calls with their direct reports and calls with client leadership team. NFM will put together weekly talking points to share via PowerPoint with client to include data driven insights, and in store pictures.
  • Field Management: Manage Field Management Teams, create and Manage Field Management Processes and best practice sharing
  • Field Operations: Manage internal stakeholders, managing the relationship between the Field Team, Client leadership team & Operations team to ensure everything gets in and out of field accordingly
  • Team Leadership & Development: Acts as a change agent championing and driving change throughout the business by participating in and monitoring the progress of projects/initiatives to ensure proper implementation and ongoing execution
  • Fiscal Management: Understand and manage profitability measures and drivers (overtime, hours and expenses)
  • Decisions have major implications on the management and operation of an area within a department. Job may contribute to important strategy, operational and business decisions that affect the department
  • Other Duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Experience Requirement
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing OR any similar combination of education & experience
  • 5 yrs category mgmt. or 3 yrs. food brokerage):
  • 12+ months of FOM or Territory management experience is preferred
  • 18+ months of National Field Management experience is mandatory -OR- 4+ years of previous
  • District or Regional management experience within retail, managing a team dispersed throughout a large geographical area
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of human resource disciplines including employee relations, performance management, and federal/state respective employment laws is highly preferred
  • Experience developing, tracking and monitoring cross-functional processes
  • Project management experience ideal - multi-faceted complex modeling and process management
  • Previous experience with leading, managing, guiding and developing direct manager level reports


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
  • Problems are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents and practices.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency with Internet Explorer, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel, and preferably PowerPoint
  • Excellent relationship building skills; proven success in senior level relationship, building, development and management
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and prioritization of tasks
  • Ability to proactively determine client-based and internal needs and present solutions
  • Results are defined; sets own goals and determine how to accomplish results with some guidelines. Supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Has the authority to direct the employee's daily work activities. Has authority to undertake or recommend the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as impeccable follow-up and organization and problem-solving skills
  • Available up to 25% travel & possess a reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • This position requires that you drive on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing, and as such, any DUI/DWI conviction in the past 36 months will be an immediate disqualifier for this position.
