Full Job Description
Are you a strategic leader with deep expertise in the DME and post acute care landscape? We are looking for a National Director, DME to lead the development and execution of our DME partnership strategy across the United States. This field based leadership role offers the opportunity to shape national growth initiatives, strengthen key customer relationships, support our NPWT sales organization, and lead a high performing team focused on delivering exceptional customer and patient experiences nationwide.

What will you be doing?
  • Lead the national DME strategy for Smith+Nephew's NPWT business across the United States, driving sales and rental revenue growth through DME partnerships
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage national, regional, and local DME provider partnerships and contractual agreements
  • Own the implementation, rollout, and ongoing management of DME contracts, including business reviews, forecasting activities, and contract compliance
  • Build and strengthen relationships between DME providers, acute care customers, post acute care partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and service delivery
  • Partner closely with Commercial Leadership, Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Fleet Management, Sales Operations, Legal, and Finance teams
  • Maintain a strong understanding of payer requirements and Medicare payment policies relevant to DME operations and patient intake
  • Support the NPWT Post Acute Sales organization to ensure successful order pull through and customer satisfaction
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Care Continuum Directors and Inside Sales Support teams while maintaining regional account responsibilities
  • Drive business planning, forecasting, analytics, and operational excellence across the DME channel
What will you need to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of medical device, healthcare, or related industry experience, with strong preference for DME provider experience
  • Demonstrated expertise within the DME, post acute care, healthcare reimbursement, and payer environment
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams while driving strategic business growth initiatives
  • Strong financial, analytical, negotiation, and contract management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from executive leadership to field teams
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel extensively across the United States, approximately 50 to 75% of the time

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $138,000 - $180,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for sales commission and incentives based on set targets. The commission earned will depend on the candidate's performance in the role.
