National Distribution Manager (full time) Brampton, ON, Canada | req29178
We are looking for a highly motivated, talented, and experienced National Distribution Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our 4 Canadian distribution centres and its distribution network. In this role you will be responsible for areas of warehousing, inventory management, shipping, logistics, and branch replenishment of our hardgoods offering (CPG) with a critical focus on improvement initiatives, productivity, and customer service.
What you will enjoy doing* - Lead a national team with a strong focus on safety, ensuring all daily activities prioritize safety and staff follow company policies and regulations
- Guide distribution teams through modernization and change by adapting strategies to meet targets and evolving business needs
- Manage team performance using positive coaching and communication to achieve regional and national objectives aligned with Linde's vision
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Sales, Procurement, Purchasing, Retail Operations, and Product Management
- Use data analytics to identify trends and uncover opportunities for optimization and improvement
- Stay current on new technologies, including artificial intelligence, and develop business plans to support ongoing modernization efforts
- Establish annual business plans, set metrics, and manage budgets with a focus on efficiency and reducing operating costs in the distribution network
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing the supply chain, focusing on branch deliveries, route and inventory optimization, and fill rates
What makes you great* - You'll bring over five years of experience managing multiple locations, with a solid grasp of logistics and inventory management
- Be comfortable using Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite to support your daily tasks
- Use strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Pay close attention to detail while managing your time effectively
- Lead with a hands-on, visible style that balances people focus with strategic thinking and quick adaptability
- Communicate clearly and confidently with everyone from team members to upper management and customers
- Prioritize tasks using data and metrics to guide your decisions
- Experience with Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System certification is a plus
- Familiarity with JD Edwards software will be helpful
- Being fluent in French is an asset but not required
This is an existing position with a starting salary of $110,000-$120,000/year
