Full Job Description
What is Kalshi?

Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.

We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
  • Our vision: well... build the largest financial market on the planet.
  • Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.

Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.

Role Roadmap

Kalshi is seeking a senior leader to drive Narrative Creation within our Policy & Business Development team. This role will architect and execute high-impact narratives that shape public understanding of prediction markets, democratic processes, and financial innovation. You will translate complex policy, regulatory, and market dynamics into compelling thought leadership that advances Kalshi's business objectives, strengthens our reputation, and informs key stakeholders. Based in New York or Washington, DC, this role sits at the intersection of policy, media, research, and growth-building editorial products, guiding real-time communications around current events, and ensuring Kalshi is a trusted voice in the national conversation.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and own Kalshi's overarching narrative strategy across policy, regulatory, and reputational priorities
  • Translate breaking news, political developments, economic trends, and original research into timely, high-impact thought leadership
  • Build and lead a best-in-class editorial function producing insights, intelligence, reports, and multimedia content
  • Partner with Policy, Legal, Research, and Business Development teams to align narrative initiatives with regulatory strategy and commercial goals
  • Identify and cultivate strategic content and data partnerships that expand Kalshi's reach and credibility
  • Develop narrative frameworks that position prediction markets as transparent, data-driven tools that strengthen democratic and financial systems
  • Oversee editorial calendars, rapid-response communications, and long-lead narrative campaigns
  • Ensure exceptional writing quality and editorial rigor, with obsessive attention to clarity, accuracy, and tone
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, media partners, policymakers, and industry influencers
  • Measure the impact of narrative initiatives on policy outcomes, reputation, and business growth
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in political journalism, policy communications, strategic communications, or editorial leadership
  • Demonstrated expertise in reputational- and policy-focused thought leadership and insight generation
  • Deep understanding of democratic institutions, elections, and the political process
  • Proven track record of developing narratives that leverage current events, trends, and research to achieve business or policy outcomes
  • Experience building and leading high-performing editorial or content teams
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience creating editorial products across multiple channels (reports, newsletters, op-eds, digital content, multimedia)
  • Ability to operate in fast-moving, high-stakes regulatory or political environments
