Job Description:

The North America B2B/Bio Finance Manager role is a trusted partner to the commercial teams leading unbranded fuels (B2B) and Biofuels within the Refining Supply & Midstream business and sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, operational performance, and financial outcomes. You'll be part of a high-performing team and partner directly with senior commercial and finance leaders to drive distinctive results in two key margin growth areas of the Midstream portfolio.  

For high-potential individuals, this role presents a unique platform for development combining strategic planning, business partnership, and senior leadership exposure in a way that builds both depth and breadth of experience. The successful candidate will gain significant visibility across the organization through direct engagement with Operations, Commercial, and Finance leaders, while shaping key business decisions and influencing performance outcomes. Key Accountabilities

  • Own B2B and Biofuels gross margin performance through understanding market strategy, volume targets, deal structures, and market dynamics and their impacts on financial results.  A deep understanding of biofuels regulations, compliance, and associated financial impacts will be critical in this role.
  • Lead planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis, identifying key risks and opportunities for these parts of the business. 
  • Investigate variances between actual performance and forecasts and partner with commercial teams to drive continuous improvement in forecasting and execution. 
  • Shape the executive story by partnering closely with the senior commercial and finance leaders of the business to craft conclusions, messages, and presentations.

Essential education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or similar a plus).
  • Strong track record in finance, commercial, or performance management with depth in planning, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to translate financial and operational data into clear, executive-ready insight, and to lead people and stakeholders through complexity
  • A natural influencer and change-maker who simplifies complexity and builds alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Sharp analytics and commercial instincts, with comfort in modern reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, SAP, Excel, SQL).

Desirable criteria

  • Energy industry background particularly in supply, logistics, trading, or other commercially oriented environments.
  • Prior experience with biofuels or other traded compliance credits.

How much do we pay (Base)? The anticipated base salary for this position is approximately between $160,000 and $185,000 USD annually, *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full times employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
