About the team and the role:

eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

What you will accomplish:
Job Duties: Responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of scalable automation solutions as part of the automation team specializing in agentic (AI-driven) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) at eBay, improving operational efficiency and accuracy across the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and IT Services to identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, and implement end-to-end solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for all RPA initiatives, providing technical leadership, overseeing project execution, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices. Leverage tools such as UiPath (including Orchestrator), Jira, Git, ServiceNow, SAP, BlackLine, and other supporting technologies, including Python, REST APIs, OCR/document understanding tools, and AI/ML-based automation frameworks. Drive intelligent automation initiatives by incorporating AI and agentic capabilities to enable cognitive decision-making and workflow orchestration, while mentoring team members, resolving complex issues, and promoting continuous improvement. Telecommuting permitted - work may be performed from anywhere in the US.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Salary: $187,741.00-262,700.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Additional Details

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
