Job Summary We are seeking a Data Engineer / BI Developer with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions that support enterprise reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience building end-to-end data pipelines, semantic models, interactive dashboards, and data integration solutions while ensuring data quality, performance, and governance across the Microsoft analytics ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including some tools such as Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, and OneLake.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple enterprise data sources.
- Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, datasets, reports, and dashboards for business stakeholders.
- Create interactive visualizations and KPI dashboards that support executive reporting and operational decision-making.
- Optimize Power BI report performance through efficient data modeling, DAX measures, and query optimization.
- Develop reusable data models, star schemas, and dimensional models to support enterprise analytics.
- Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to ensure reliable reporting.
- Automate data refresh schedules, report deployments, and pipeline execution.
- Troubleshoot data integration, reporting, and performance issues.
- Document data architecture, data flows, reporting solutions, and technical processes.
- Partner with data engineers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Experience building semantic models and datasets.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration.
- Experience working with relational databases and cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience writing DAX measures and Power Query (M).
- Experience using Git or Azure DevOps for source control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
