Experience: Two (2) or more years of successful work in a Radiology Department as a dedicated MRI Technologist.
License: Current Magnetic Resonance Imaging license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Must-Have: ARMRIT or ARRT-MRI eligible.

Description:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
This position includes training additional MRI staff.
The technologist will participate in maintaining a culture aligned with established Service and Behavioral Standards.
Responsibilities include selecting appropriate imaging techniques via the operator's console and peripheral hardware.
Maintaining a safe working environment for patients and staff is essential.
Entering and monitoring patient data accurately is required.
Imaging exams in a manner that accurately demonstrates required patient anatomy is crucial.
Training additional MRI staff and support staff is part of the role.
The technologist must keep up to date knowledge of MRI procedures and protocols.
Assistance with scheduling patient exams may be needed.
A thorough knowledge of human anatomy, positioning, and MRI exam protocols is expected.
The ability to work compatibly with physicians, patients, and other staff is necessary.
The work environment will typically be moderately quiet, though exposure to patient and environmental conditions may occur.
