MRI TechnologistShift Details
- Saturday, Sunday: 7:00am - 7:30pm
- Monday: 10:00am - 10:30pm
- Holidays, on call, and callback per unit needs
Job Summary
- We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team
- Must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus
- Must know how to operate the MRI machine efficiently
- Must be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure
- Must coordinate with the patient's physician to ensure results are received in a timely manner
- Must be familiar with medical terminology
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test
- Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
- Patient care tasks as needed
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- MUST HAVE GE SCANNER EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- Certification through the ARRT
- MUST HAVE INJECTION CERTIFICATION TO BE CONSIDERED
- NYS Rad Tech license - must be willing to obtain after starting
