MRI TechnologistShift Details
  • Saturday, Sunday: 7:00am - 7:30pm
  • Monday: 10:00am - 10:30pm
  • Holidays, on call, and callback per unit needs
Job Summary
  • We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team
  • Must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus
  • Must know how to operate the MRI machine efficiently
  • Must be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure
  • Must coordinate with the patient's physician to ensure results are received in a timely manner
  • Must be familiar with medical terminology
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the test
  • Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
  • Patient care tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Two (2) years of experience
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
  • MUST HAVE GE SCANNER EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience
  • Certification through the ARRT
  • MUST HAVE INJECTION CERTIFICATION TO BE CONSIDERED
  • NYS Rad Tech license - must be willing to obtain after starting
Skills
  • Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization - Highly Desired
  • Two (2) years of experience - Required
  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) - Required
  • NY License ONLY - Required
  • Injection Certification - Required
