MRI Technologist
Shift: Sunday-Thursday | 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Schedule Notes: Holidays, on call, and callback per unit needs
Assignment Length: 8 weeks
Position Overview
- Seeking an MRI Technologist to join a dynamic imaging team
- Ideal candidate operates the MRI machine efficiently and makes patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure
- Coordinates with the patient's physician to ensure results are received in a timely manner
- Must be familiar with medical terminology
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test
- Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
- Patient care tasks as needed
Requirements
- Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology
- Two (2) years' experience
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Certification through the ARRT
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- Must have GE Scanner experience to be considered
- Must have Injection Certification to be considered
- NY License ONLY - must be willing to obtain NYS Rad Tech license after starting

- Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization (highly desired)
