Molecular Technologist
Location: Milford, PA
Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour shifts, Monday-Friday
Organization: New York Cancer and Blood Specialists
In This Role, You Will:
Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical molecular laboratory testing.
Accession and process patient specimens for molecular diagnostics.
Perform nucleic acid extraction, quantification, and sample preparation.
Conduct Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows and related testing procedures.
Analyze laboratory data and maintain accurate patient testing records.
Perform quality control procedures and ensure adherence to laboratory quality standards.
Document instrument maintenance, calibrations, and corrective actions.
Participate in proficiency testing, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives.
Troubleshoot technical and operational issues affecting test performance.
Maintain laboratory inventory and supply levels.
Communicate technical concerns and findings to laboratory leadership.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
Train and mentor laboratory staff as appropriate based on experience level.
Support additional laboratory initiatives and projects as assigned.
