Position Reports To: Mobile Maintenance Supervisors
Position OverviewThe Mobile Maintenance Lube Technicians provide support to Mine Operations by troubleshooting and performing repairs, along with ensuring lubrication upkeep of underground equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct all repairs in a safe and effective manner employing stop and correct behaviors
- Lubrication upkeep of underground mobile mining equipment
- Perform repairs, troubleshooting, adjustments, overhauls, and maintenance on mobile mining equipment, mainly underground and focusing on production equipment, but equipment may vary depending on operational needs.
- Working in an underground mining environment
- Operation of lubricant transport vehicles
- Organization of lubricants and lube routes
- Monitor equipment condition and report thoroughly to Supervisor
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both written and verbally
- Provide input on equipment maintenance strategy and improvement opportunities
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications - Red Seal endorsed trades certificate in a discipline related to mobile equipment maintenance (i.e. Automotive Mechanic, Truck & Transport Mechanic, Marine Technician, etc.)
- Experience in heavy equipment maintenance
- Industrial experience, preferably in mining
- Demonstrated leadership in safety
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Demonstrate a strong drive to learn new skills
- Possess a willingness to take on progressively more responsibilities as they grow and develop with the company
- Experience with underground mining equipment is considered an asset
Other RequirementsCandidates will be required to participate in a comprehensive qualification process, including:
- Completion of pre-placement functional screen
- Provide proof of a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
- Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements
CompensationThe anticipated salary for this position will be between $95,000 to $115,000. This is not a camp operation and therefore the successful candidate will be required to relocate to the Kamloops area or travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
