Overview

Job Summary

 

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a strategic and proactive professional to serve as a Mission Partner Program Integrator supporting the Breakwater Program Office within the Department of the Air Force (DAF), Headquarters Program Acquisition Executive (PAE).

 

This role offers the opportunity to support mission-critical Air Force programs within the DAF’s newest PAE organization. The selected candidate will provide senior-level acquisition and program integration support to government leadership, assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of complex initiatives.

 

Key responsibilities include supporting mission partner program assessments, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with DoD acquisition processes and mission objectives. The Mission Partner Program Integrator will also serve as a key liaison between government stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams, providing strategic insight and decision support in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The Mission Partner Program Integrator will:

  • Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements in alignment with DoD acquisition frameworks and mission objectives
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex, multi-year DoD acquisition programs
  • Identify and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies; recommend and track mitigation strategies to support successful execution
  • Facilitate and support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across acquisition, technical, operational, and financial stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver program status updates, executive briefings, and decision-support materials for senior leadership and PEO/PAE stakeholders
  • Ensure program activities comply with applicable DoD and DAF policies, including cybersecurity and information assurance requirements
  • Align program execution with evolving mission priorities and operational requirements
  • Serve as the primary liaison between mission partners, government offices, contractors, and technical teams, managing coordination efforts, working groups, and stakeholder engagements
Requirements

Skills and Experience

 

The Mission Partner Program Integrator & Program Manager must have:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • 15+ years of experience in program or project management supporting Department of Defense acquisition programs
  • Strong knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle, including Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) and Defense Acquisition System (DAS) processes
  • Experience supporting program planning and execution, including cost, schedule, performance, budgeting, and milestone management
  • Proven experience in program performance tracking, risk management, schedule analysis, and executive reporting
  • Familiarity with acquisition strategies, contract types, and program execution within a Program Executive Office (PEO) or Program Acquisition Executive (PAE) environment
  • Experience supporting and coordinating Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across cross-functional organizations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior DoD leadership
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility, mission-critical environments
  • Experience with program management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, SharePoint, or similar systems

Education and Certifications

 

The Mission Partner Program Integrator & Program Manager must meet the following:

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Program Management, or a related field

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in engineering or similar discipline
  • DAWIA Certification in Program Management or equivalent

Security Clearance

 

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

 

Physical Requirements

 

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
