Full Job Description
We are seeking mid-level associates with 3-5 years (class of 2021 - 2023) of law firm patent prosecution experience to join the Pharmaceutical group of the Prosecution & Counseling department. This position can be based in our Boston, New York, or Washington, DC office.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process
  • Prepare and file patent applications
  • Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability analysis
  • Assist in other responsibilities or projects, as requested or needed


Qualifications:
  • A Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry or a related field of study
  • A JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting
  • Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, DC
  • Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized, exercise extreme attention to detail, collaborate and work effectively in team settings

The expected salary range for this position is $245,000 - $340,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
