Full Job Description
is seeking an experienced and motivated Microsoft Cloud Administrator to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the IT Director, this position will be responsible for the administration, security, maintenance, and optimization of our Microsoft cloud environment, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and hybrid Active Directory infrastructure.

This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud-based systems while supporting end users across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in Microsoft technologies, a customer-focused approach to support, and a passion for continuous improvement through automation, security best practices, and process optimization.

Location: This position is fully on-site in High Ridge, MO and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Candidates must live within daily commuting distance. Relocation assistance and employment visa sponsorship are not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 & Azure Administration
  • Configure, administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-premises Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related Microsoft services.
  • Manage Azure subscriptions, virtual machines, virtual networks, storage resources, and cloud services.
  • Monitor tenant health, performance, availability, and overall cloud utilization.
Identity & Access Management
  • Manage user accounts, licenses, permissions, groups, and role assignments.
  • Configure and maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Administer Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Support user provisioning, deprovisioning, and identity governance processes.
Security & Compliance
  • Implement and manage Microsoft security solutions including:
    • Microsoft Defender
    • Defender XDR
    • Microsoft Sentinel
    • Microsoft Purview
    • Conditional Access
  • Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Support compliance initiatives, including NIST 800-171 requirements.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices to protect company systems and sensitive data.
Operations, Support & Automation
  • Monitor cloud services and troubleshoot infrastructure, application, authentication, and connectivity issues.
  • Perform backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity administration activities.
  • Conduct regular updates, upgrades, patching, and maintenance to keep systems secure and current.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and Azure CLI automation solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process improvements.
  • Provide advanced technical support and guidance to end users.
Collaboration & Documentation
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure and business application teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, user guides, and operating procedures.
  • Assist in training users and promoting adoption of Microsoft cloud technologies.

  • Proven success managing cloud environments and resolving service disruptions.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, technical certifications, training, and experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle, move, and carry computer equipment and related hardware.
