Overview:

Understand the capabilities and general application of Epic functionality, both revenue cycle and supporting clinical functions, and supporting bolt-on applications, as it relates to current and future Epic capabilities within the revenue cycle, as well as, acquisition and integration activities. Through the analysis of key performance indicator data and direct observation, the RC Informatics Manager works to improve Revenue Cycle efficiency, automation and maximize the current revenue cycle technology toolkit, highly involved from inception of project all the way through to rollout, as well as collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Services team to support the operations. The RC Informatics Manager recommends technology enhancements & optimizations that will positively impact the Revenue Cycle and help Piedmont Healthcare (PHC) operate according to best practice, industry benchmarks and meet A/R performance goals and productivity. The RC System Implementation & Informatics Manager will work to improve and implement internal controls across the revenue cycle technology footprint and will work closely with IT on interface and system issues as required to improve the flow of data. Plans, executes and monitors the implementation of technical systems, software, hardware or solutions specific to Revenue Cycle. Evaluates client needs, develops configurations that support business processes. Defines and executes on delivery and implementation plans. Tests and troubleshoots final system setups. Provides training and end-user support during and after the implementation process. Completes the scoping of projects or developing requirements documentation.

Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Health Information Systems, Informatics, Healthcare Management, or closely related field Required
  • In Lieu of degree, six (6) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement Required
  • Master's degree Preferred

Work Experience
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in revenue cycle, informatics, healthcare technology or a closely related field Required and
  • 1 year involving leading people, projects, or programs Required
  • In lieu of degree , a total of eleven (11) years of experience Required
  • Previous experience leading a cross functional, enterprise-wide complex project in a healthcare setting Preferred
  • Previous experience using or implementing Epic Preferred
