Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager for ENT Surgery provides both strategic and operational nursing leadership for the ENT Surgical Department. This role ensures safe, effective, consistent, and patient-centered clinical care while overseeing daily nursing and clinical support operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical care while providing direct leadership and accountability for nursing and clinical support operations.
This is an onsite position requiring regular presence in the Washington, DC area to partner closely with leadership, employees, and operational teams.
Qualifications
To provide clinical and operational nursing leadership for a CMG practice group. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the quality, safety, efficiency, and coordination of non-physician clinical services and works collaboratively with physician leadership and the CMG Practice Group Administrator to ensure that the clinical goals and objectives of the practice are met.
The Nurse Manager will maintain an active clinical presence approximately 2-3 days per week, providing direct patient care within the scope of RN practice and working alongside clinical staff. The remainder of the position will be dedicated to clinical management, staff supervision and development, quality improvement, and practice operations.

Manages the clinical care operations of the CMG practice group in partnership with the physician leader and CMG Practice Group Administrator.Maintains an active clinical presence approximately 3 days per week, providing direct patient care within RN scope of practice and working alongside clinical staff to maintain familiarity with day-to-day workflows and patient care needs.Meets regularly with the physician and admin leader in capacity to review clinical operations, staffing, quality and patient safety, clinical workflows, physician and patient needs, and progress toward established practice goals.Oversees staffing, utilization, scheduling, attendance, and productivity of non-physician clinical staff to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient clinical operations.Screens and participates in the hiring of non-physician clinical staff; evaluates staff performance; provides coaching and counseling; and recommends appropriate corrective or disciplinary actions when necessary.Supports physician and patient needs by ensuring that established clinical goals and standards are met and by translating physician and practice needs into effective clinical workflows.Develops and oversees orientation, training, continuing education, and competency assessment for non-physician clinical staff and ensures adherence to applicable scope-of-practice requirements.Develops and implements clinical policies, procedures, protocols, and standardized workflows in collaboration with physician leadership and the CMG Practice Group Administrator.Leads and monitors quality improvement, patient safety, and patient experience initiatives, including review and appropriate escalation of clinical incidents, near misses, patient complaints, and other safety concerns.Oversees patient flow, scheduling, clinical resource utilization, equipment, and supplies and monitors relevant operational metrics to identify opportunities to improve access, efficiency, and quality.Serves as a visible clinical leader within the practice, promoting professionalism, accountability, teamwork, effective communication, and a culture of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Education A Master's degree in nursing is necessary
Experience Four years of nursing experience is necessary to include at least two years of clinical management/supervisory experience (preferable in an ambulatory care setting), is necessary. Current District of Columbia licensure as a Registered Nurse, or evidence of application for D.C. licensure and current out-of-state license, is necessary.
