Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Program Manager III who will lead development and production execution for the growing list of microelectronics components within BAE Systems' Microelectronics product catalog. The Program Manager's primary responsibility will be managing production and development execution of P&S products through the entire lifecycle, from quoting through delivery. This includes demand forecasting, quoting, purchase orders, and deliveries of P&S products; interfacing with customers, across functions and the foundry team, and vendors to collaborate and provide status updates; and supporting the management of programs in different stages of maturity ranging from development to full production. The successful candidate must be comfortable leading briefings of program status to senior leadership and excel at customer engagement. Other key responsibilities include:
- Accountable for all aspects of program initiation, planning, execution (cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, customer engagement, etc.) and ensuring program commitments are met.
- Creation of new business strategies and the development of strategic and financial plans.
- Track, lead, and directly contribute to forecasting and demand planning.
- Lead the execution process by overseeing the creation and management of budgets and schedules.
- Identify and address order- and program-related issues, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for other program managers, operations personnel, and internal stakeholders regarding order-related matters and ensure the stakeholders are engaged in addressing any deficiencies.
- Lead the tracking of resources, personnel, and processes to ensure the successful execution and completion of orders and programs.
- Monitor, report, and act based on key order and program performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, budget adherence, and overall performance, and prepare regular status reports.
- Ensure that products are fully prepared for production and delivery, coordinating with engineering, operations, and quality assurance teams to verify that all requirements are met and address any identified deficiencies.
- Engage with the internal foundry team and vendors to ensure alignment on order or program requirements, including deliverables, cost structures, and timelines.
- Manage, support, and review proposals, as required.
- Represent the product line PM organization at broader PMO collaborations, as required.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it can take the form of a
hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite (> 50% of time) and remotely; or an on-site format. The work location is Nashua, NH.
Required Skills and Education- Typically a Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of work experience, a Masters Degree with 10+ years of experience, or a PhD with 8+ years of experience.
- 6+ years of project management experience (manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a project or collection of projects).
- Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) in an Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Production or sustainment and development program management experience
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Demonstrates business acumen and presence at the leadership level
- Experience in structured problem solving with demonstrated ability to systematically determine root cause
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading cross-functional teams and supervising individuals
- Knowledge of defense contract types
- Experience as primary customer point of contact
- Ability to obtain DoW Secret clearance with SAP access.
Preferred Skills and Education- Active DoW TOP SECRET/SCI and SAP Security clearances
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- 9+ years' experience as a Program Manager (PM), Program Engineering Manager (PEM) or Technical Project Manager
- Experience in a Semiconductor Foundry and the development, fabrication and/or testing of microelectronics or electronic subsystems
- Experience developing product roadmaps
- Experience interfacing with microelectronics foundries and suppliers
