Full Job Description
Nightwing is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Facilities Site Lead to oversee the day-to-day management of site operations for two dedicated sterling, VA project facilities. The Facilities Site Lead will lead a small team providing full spectrum facilities operational support.

This position ensures the facility remains safe, compliant, efficient and mission ready. The ideal candidate combines operational leadership and technical expertise to ensure facility readiness, execute facility preventative maintenance programs/plans, and to lead response to emergent facilities issues. This candidate will enjoy hands-on work and possess a broad range of maintenance skills to plan and perform routine maintenance activities and critical repairs.

This role is responsible for maintaining facility systems and project assets in optimal working condition through proactive oversight, preventive maintenance, and timely response to operational and facility requirements. The Facilities Lead partners with the Program Manager and internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects are executed efficiently while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, providing facility improvement solutions, maintaining the operation (mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural) of the building, oversight of subcontractors, lending expertise to cost estimates, performing routine inspections, and ensuring a safe work environment. The position requires a candidate who is self-motivated and demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills.

The applicant will follow the Government holiday schedule and have the option to work a 5/80 or 9/80A daily work schedule.

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of facility operations including maintenance, security, space planning, and vendor management
  • Lead a team of 2-3 Facilities Technicians in the execution of all Facilities operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Plan and schedule preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring they are effectively assigned to and completed by the vendors and facilities team
  • Oversee and coordinate facilities upgrade projects to ensure timely delivery of fully functional, operational spaces that meet the needs of the end users
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Lead site-level emergency preparedness, business continuity, and risk mitigation planning
  • Manage facility-related budgets, contracts, and procurement of services and supplies
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support workplace needs and site expansion or reconfiguration projects
  • Supervise on-site facility staff and service providers (custodial, HVAC, electrical, etc.)
  • Monitor building systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, security) to ensure operational efficiency
  • Perform troubleshooting and lead repairs for facility plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Building maintance and upgrades to include furniture assembly, picture and white board hanging, doorknob/lock/closures repair/replacement, interior patching and painting, daily electrical/mechanical/HVAC equipment inspections &/or maintenance.


Salary & Benefits
The salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
