Role Overview:This role involves managing and supporting Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms such as Axway Secure Transport and IBM Sterling Integrator. The engineer will be responsible for configuring and maintaining various file transfer protocols, leading end-to-end partner onboarding, and ensuring secure data exchange in compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards like HIPAA. Key aspects include monitoring file transfers, troubleshooting failures, performing incident management, and driving automation for continuous improvement in MFT operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and support MFT platforms (Axway Secure Transport and/or IBM Sterling Integrator)
- Configure and maintain file transfer protocols, including SFTP, AS2, FTPS, and HTTPS
- Lead end-to-end partner onboarding, including connectivity setup, trading partner configuration, file routing and validation, testing, and production deployment
- Ensure secure data exchange in compliance with enterprise and regulatory (HIPAA) standards
- Monitor file transfers, troubleshoot failures, and ensure SLA adherence
- Perform incident management and resolution (ServiceNow) with a focus on reducing MTTR
- Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging for proactive issue detection
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to support data exchange requirements
- Drive automation of onboarding and operational processes (COLA initiatives) to reduce manual effort
- Support continuous improvement in reliability, performance, and scalability of MFT operations
Required Skills:- Hands-on experience with MFT tools (Axway Secure Transport and/or IBM Sterling Integrator)
- Strong knowledge of SFTP, AS2, and other file transfer protocols
- Experience with partner onboarding and production support environments
- Understanding of EDI transactions (X12) and secure data exchange
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience in healthcare data exchange / HIPAA compliance
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting for onboarding
- Exposure to cloud-integrated MFT solutions (Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of SLA-driven operations and monitoring frameworks
Qualifications:- 8-10 years of experience
- Experience in healthcare data exchange / HIPAA compliance
