Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer, Quartz Fabrication

Department: Operations Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager Job Type: Full Time Onsite Location: Concord, CA

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead process and yield improvements efforts from concept through completion for MEMS Quartz Fabrication Process. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing methodologies. The ideal candidate will bring leadership and technical expertise with best manufacturing practices and have a data driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owns Quartz Fabrication process and yield performance.
  • Lead yield and process improvement efforts.
  • Increase throughput through process optimization.
  • Evaluate and validate new equipment to be implemented.
  • Ability to conduct and report results of DOE's.
  • Maintain and update process documentation Utilizing a PLM system.
  • Update and create BOMs.
  • Prepare and review technical proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Solve complex design challenges using innovative, non-standard approaches.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design and production issues.
  • Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, materials or other related engineering fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering with proven record of success in continuous improvement or related experience.
  • Experience in MEMs or Semiconductor Manufacturing in a cleanroom environment. Experience in Quartz Wafer processing is preferred.
  • Experience in photolithography, wet etch or metallization.
  • Must be a hands-on engineer capable of troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Must be able to manage short-term and long-term projects simultaneously with little external support.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and openness to feedback from peers and leadership.

Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to program in Python.
  • Ability to write SQL queries.
  • Experience with JMP for SPC and process analytics.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or Creo.
  • Evaluate and design new fixtures and tooling.
  • 3D printing using FFM and or SLA.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, Multimeter, calipers, micrometers, Keyence microscopes.

Compensation:

This position offers a salary range of $110,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience, skill set, and overall qualifications.
