Full Job Description
We9re looking for an experienced Merchant for Men9s Non-Denim Bottoms & Shorts to join the US/CA Merchandising Team. You9ll build compelling assortments and manage in-season performance across all DTC channels and Wholesale. You9ll lead the growth strategy for Non-Denim & Shorts and bring the category vision to life. With a consumer-first mindset, you9ll blend data and marketplace insights to deliver the right product mix for every segment.

About the Job
  • Create assortment strategy for USCA Men9s Bottoms based on analysis of both our internal metrics, competitive landscape, consumer insights and macro trends. Deliver assortments that support brand and cluster strategies while achieving financial targets.
  • Partner with planner and allocator on weekly business reviews, open-to-buy management, and plan revisions to achieve financial goals and strategic objectives.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly product performance, identify risks and opportunities; determine and guide short-, medium-, and long-term actions to better position the business for success.
  • Present during milestone meetings including product briefs, hindsight, cluster line launch, assortment reviews, & investment reviews.
  • Engage and partner with Global Merchandising team to ensure cluster nuance is understood and needs are met.
  • Partner with Marketing, Site Merchandising and Brand Experience teams to guide elevated on floor/ on-site execution of product stories and new fit launches.
  • You9ll report into our Sr. Merchant.


About You
  • 5+ years direct merchandising/buying experience at an apparel manufacturer, retailer, or marketer.
  • Knowledge of merchandising and design trends; ability to apply that knowledge, connect the dots and create product assortments that win in the marketplace.
  • Understands the entire product lifecycle and how each team9s role adds value, enabling the creation of strong, customer-focused product assortments.
  • Analytical, with a strong grasp of key financial metrics-sales, gross margin, inventory turn, sell-through, and weeks of supply-and how to optimize each one.
  • Excel super user (can perform complex functions).
  • Passionate and engaged; customer obsessed.


This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $92,300 - $130,000 per yearWe may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
