Job Purpose

The Membership Sales & Relations Director is responsible for driving membership growth, retention, and satisfaction across our private clubs. This role identifies and converts new membership opportunities, fosters strong relationships with existing members, and delivers a robust calendar of engagement experiences that deepen member loyalty. By collaborating closely with the General Manager, department heads, and the membership team, this leader ensures every member feels connected, valued, and excited to belong.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement a dynamic calendar of member events aligned to member demographics and engagement needs.
  • Lead onboarding activities including new member orientations and mixers.
  • Support resignation outreach and other save efforts to improve retention.
  • Serve as a liaison on member committees and collect feedback to drive improvements.
  • Partner with F&B and department leaders to execute high-quality member events.
  • Oversee member communications including newsletters, email campaigns, website updates, and social media.
  • Maintain event collateral and club promotional materials.
  • Represent the club within the local community to support brand visibility and sales.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws and membership requirements.
  • Produce timely reporting on sales performance, membership activity, and event results.
  • Attend leadership meetings and support AGC initiatives as assigned.
  • Execute strategies that achieve membership revenue and enrollment goals.
  • Source, qualify, and convert leads through tours, outreach, referrals, and community presence.
  • Track sales pipelines, documentation, and reporting through communication systems.
  • Promote a club-wide referral culture by coaching staff on networking and lead generation.
  • Present membership value during orientations, tours, and committee updates.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' successful experience in membership sales, hospitality, golf, or similar relationship-driven roles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Golf knowledge a plus.


Working Conditions

  • Varying schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Frequent standing and walking; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires frequent interaction with members, guests, and community contacts.


Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
