Full Job Description
Location:

The Maintenance Supervisor is an onsite position located in the Austin, TX area. There will be minimal travel to meet business needs.

Your Role:

In the Maintenance Supervisor role, you oversee maintenance technicians working on systems that maintain the supply of chemicals and/or gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment. In this role, you will oversee the operation and repair of gas, chemical, and/or planar distribution equipment. Your responsibilities will include managing bulk liquid gases, handling containers (such as cylinders, drums, totes, and isotainers), and overseeing inventory management. You will also be responsible for gas and/or chemical blending equipment, chemical reprocessing, life safety systems, and first responder services. Ensuring compliance with operational procedures and emergency preparedness, you will drive flawless execution in all activities.

In this role, you will communicate site goals, objectives, and directives to your team, focusing on gas, chemical, or slurry systems. You will be accountable for training, certification, and the execution of shift activities. Additionally, you will support the development of your supervisors, coordinators, and support staff while serving as the primary customer contact for equipment issues within your department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aligns and supports organizational goals and objectives for the site team.
  • Serves as the primary customer contact for daily equipment issues.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels for shifts to improve the scope of service.
  • Approves direct report time and manages corrections in the time management system.
  • Oversees the execution of the Basic Safety Process (BSP) and Electronics Safety Assessment Structure (ELSAS) programs.
  • Maintains qualification manuals and assigns mentorship for technical growth.
  • Communicates departmental changes and manages change across all shifts.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate training and certification requirements for technicians.
  • Facilitates safety training and certifies personnel for required tasks.
  • Monitors safety processes, escalate issues as needed, and drives incident investigations to closure.
  • Monitors department performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs) for organizational growth.


Schedule:

Maintenance Supervisors are scheduled on-site Monday through Friday or as needed due to issues.

Physical Attributes:
  • 75% of time walking throughout the facility (3-6 miles per day).
  • Climbing ladders up to 12 feet tall (utilizing fall protection).
  • Lifting (up to 40lbs).
  • Bending of the knees and reaching overhead.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance or trades (e.g. plumbing, welding, oil field work, etc.) work experience.
  • 1+ years of leadership, mentorship, coaching, team building, or supervisory experience.

OR
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8+ years of industrial maintenance or trades (e.g. plumbing, welding, oil field work, etc.) work experience.
  • 1+ years of leadership, mentorship, coaching, team building, or supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with gas and chemical delivery systems in ultra-high purity operations.
  • Proficiency with PLCs, to include troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience with startup and commissioning.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.
  • Previous safe work practices and experience in lockout tag out projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Pay range for this position: $97,600 - $138,000

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
