Full Job Description
The opportunity

This geo-market-focused role supports the Strategic Meetings Management (SMM) program by coordinating and executing small to mid-scale internal and client events, with the majority of assigned events taking place within the individual's region. The role also supports the use of Small Meeting Technologies (SMTs) for off-site events in accordance with EY Meetings & Events (M&E) guidelines. Responsibilities also include sourcing room blocks, supporting registration sites through the Small Meeting Technology platform, Planned, and partnering with EY teams such as CBRE, OSTS and Creative Services to deliver successful events. The individual may also serve as a regional subject matter expert and manage departmental projects and initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

The core purpose of the Event Coordinator role is to deliver exceptional experiences while adhering to EY policies and SES key goals and objectives. You will bring a consultative perspective when partnering with the meeting sponsor and/or requester to understand event requirements, follow EY guidelines beginning with the event pre-approval process, recommend the best approach based on the assigned SES service level, and collaborate with SMTs and EY teams on event logistics throughout the full event lifecycle. As a regional SME, you will also help apply local market knowledge, share regional insights, and support consistent delivery across assigned events. You will consistently deliver seamless meetings and events that support meeting objectives, maximize value for the firm, and optimize meeting budgets.

In addition:
  • Primarily remote role, with some travel and on-site support required for certain events to manage logistical details; this may require extended work hours and the ability to move quickly between multiple function locations.
  • Overtime may be required based on workload or scheduling needs.
  • Inform leadership and make recommendations regarding competing priorities and resource management needs.
  • Use Event Coordinator tools to enhance the overall stakeholder and event experience.
  • Maintain timely and accurate event records across all SES approved tools. Complete all data to help ensure information is audit-ready and available for reporting.
  • Complete all EY-required LEAD and SuccessFactors activities.
  • Manage SES special business projects, as needed.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Knowledge of events, including event software and web registration
  • Strong customer service focus and adherence to EY policies
  • Excellent proactive communication and strong teaming skills
  • Curiosity and a consultative mindset, with the ability to ask effective discovery questions, understand the broader event lifecycle, apply regional market knowledge, and make recommendations within established guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Comfortable learning and using event management, collaboration, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled tools, including Cvent, Planned, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and approved Microsoft 365 solutions.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience

Ideally, you'll also have
  • Certified Meeting Professional certification
