Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oncology services to patients
  • Work in a community-based Hematology/Oncology practice
  • Manage an outpatient schedule, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Utilize shared exam rooms and on-site infusion/radiation facilities
  • Collaborate with a fully staffed team, including Medical Oncologists and APPs
  • Attend to an average patient volume of 14-16 per day
  • Participate in a shared call-coverage model for inpatient consults

General Summary

Provides clinical medical oncology professional services to patients.

Responsibilities

WellSpan's Hematology Oncology practice in Ephrata, PA is growing. We are seeking a board certified/board eligible Medical Oncology Physician to join our community in Ephrata, PA.

What you can expect at your practice:
  • Community-based general adult Hematology/Oncology practice (benign hematology, solid tumors, blood cancers)
  • Outpatient Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Facilities: 9 shared exam rooms; infusion and radiation on-site; embedded palliative care
  • Accredited & Collaborative: CoC accredited; partnership with Johns Hopkins and Maryland Proton Center
  • Team: Fully staffed - 2.5 Medical Oncologists, 1 PRN Medical Oncologist, 3.0 APPs. Currently supported by navigation, social work, dietary, research, and genetic counseling (hybrid model).
  • Volume & Call: 14-16 patients per day, shared call-coverage model to include inpatient consults and rounding (Hospitalists admit)
