Medical Oncologist

Regular Full Time: 1.0 FTE

As a Medical Oncologist, you will use your experience and qualifications to provide quality cancer care to our patients. Clinical experience in the management of Thoracic malignancies is highly desirable and preference will be given to individuals with additional (1+) years of research training/lung fellowship beyond medical oncology residency training requirements. This position will be primarily focused on lung malignancies but there will be an additional tumour site(s) included; details of this will be determined mutually with the successful candidate.

The candidate will support the activities of the Vancouver Medical Oncology Program and the UBC Medical Oncology Training Program, including the teaching of postgraduate trainees and undergraduate medical students.

You have obtained or are working towards Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology. You must also be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meet the requirements of credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer. In addition, you should be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. You must be eligible for a valid license to practice medicine in Canada to apply.
