We are seeking a
Psychiatrist to join an established behavioral health program in
Columbus, Ohio. Opportunities are available for both a
Medical Director and a
secondary psychiatrist within a
70+ bed adult inpatient behavioral health program with Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services.
The psychiatrists will provide clinical care to adult patients while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. The Medical Director will also provide clinical leadership and oversight for the psychiatric program.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing patient assessments
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Manage psychiatric medications and monitor response to treatment
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other behavioral health professionals
- Participate in treatment planning, discharge planning, and continuity of care
- Support coordination of care between inpatient and PHP services
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical program initiatives
Medical Director responsibilities may also include:- Provide clinical leadership and medical oversight for the psychiatric program
- Support and oversee psychiatric providers and advanced practice clinicians
- Assist with development and implementation of clinical policies and standards
- Participate in quality, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with facility leadership regarding clinical operations and patient care

Requirements- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
- Eligible for an Ohio medical license
- Adult inpatient Psychiatry experience preferred
- Leadership or Medical Director experience preferred for the Medical Director position
- Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills
