Med Hospitalist Job Responsibilities:- The Hospitalist will provide direct hands-on care to patients within the limits of credentials granted by the Medical Staff of Inova in recognition of advanced training and experience in this field
- Additionally, they will adhere to patient care and admission criteria policies and procedures of the Department of Medicine.
Minimum Qualifications: - Education: Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathic degree from an accredited institution, Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Experience: Successful completion of an ACGME physician internal medicine or family medicine residency program
- Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia and Virginia DEA
- Payor Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
- Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
Preferred Qualifications: - One year of experience in hospital medicine
- Completion of ACGME Physician Internal Medicine Residency Program
