Responsibilities

  • Own mechanical engineering aspects of projects from design through to energized state
  • Establish and evolve mechanical reference design for direct-to-chip liquid cooling
  • Make timely field mechanical decisions regarding routing conflicts and equipment substitutions
  • Review consultant packages with a high level of rigor before implementation
  • Drive projects forward rapidly, ensuring rework is minimized

Benefits

  • Opportunity for full ownership and autonomy over projects
  • Work in a fast-paced environment focused on rapid execution
  • Collaborative culture that values innovative ideas and challenges assumptions

  • Flexibility to shape and define your role based on unique skills and contributions
Full Job Description
How We Operate
  • Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
  • Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
  • First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
  • Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.

The Capacity Delivery Team

Examples of key problems the team is working on
  • Engineer gigawatts from drawing to energized, in months not years. Capacity Delivery owns technical execution across every build: the drawings, the field questions, and the engineering calls that keep multiple concurrent gigawatt sites moving.
  • Engineer data centers that go up in months, not years. At that pace rework is not an option: problems get caught on paper or they cost a data hall.
  • Design it once, build it a hundred times. Every site's lessons roll into the reference design on the way to 50GW+, so each build starts ahead of the last.

Role Scope
  • Own mechanical engineering across the portfolio: cooling plants, liquid loops, and airside from reference design to energized.
  • Set the mechanical reference design for direct-to-chip liquid cooling and evolve it with each build's lessons.
  • Make the field mechanical calls, routing conflicts, equipment substitutions, sequence changes, at build speed.
  • Review consultant packages with owner-of-record rigor before they hit the field.

What We're Looking For

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
  • You've led mechanical engineering for data center or heavy industrial programs.
  • You know liquid cooling at the design level: hydraulics, controls interface, redundancy.
  • You've made field engineering calls under schedule pressure that held up.
  • You manage design firms with technical authority, not just contract terms.
  • Bonus: PE license. Direct-to-chip cooling. Modular skid packages. Hydraulic and CFD modeling.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
