Full Job Description
How We Operate
  • Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
  • Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
  • First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
  • Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.

The Capacity Delivery Team

Examples of key problems the team is working on
  • Engineer gigawatts from drawing to energized, in months not years. Capacity Delivery owns technical execution across every build: the drawings, the field questions, and the engineering calls that keep multiple concurrent gigawatt sites moving.
  • Engineer data centers that go up in months, not years. At that pace rework is not an option: problems get caught on paper or they cost a data hall.
  • Design it once, build it a hundred times. Every site's lessons roll into the reference design on the way to 50GW+, so each build starts ahead of the last.

Role Scope
  • Own fire protection engineering across the portfolio: suppression, detection, and life safety from reference design through AHJ approval.
  • Set the fire protection reference design for liquid-cooled data halls and evolve it with code and AHJ feedback.
  • Run AHJ strategy across jurisdictions so approvals land ahead of the schedule that needs them.
  • Review fire protection designs and calculations as the authority the AHJ trusts.

What We're Looking For

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
  • You've led fire protection engineering for industrial or mission critical facilities.
  • You've gotten nonstandard designs approved through performance-based paths.
  • You know NFPA 13, 72, 75, and 855 at the section level.
  • AHJs take your calls and your word.
  • Bonus: FPE PE license. Clean agent and water mist systems. Lithium-ion storage protection. Data center fire protection.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
