Little, a renowned design firm, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Principal to champion our Mechanical Engineering Studio and advance the vision of our Engineering Practice in the Charlotte, NC office.

A bit more about our leadership role:
  • You'll work with our Engineering Practice Leader and Electrical and Structural leaders in Charlotte to create a strong culture of creativity and collaboration between our engineers and architects, as well as implement our strategic growth plan for Engineering which will further drive Little's overall goals
  • You'll help us increase the influence and impact of our mechanical engineers on projects from the earliest stage of design to drive integrated problem solving
  • You'll deepen our commitment to progressive sustainable design practices on our projects
  • You'll assist with business development and marketing efforts, write qualifications and fee proposals, and represent our mechanical team at presentations and with clients

Candidates should have most/all of the following Qualifications:
  • Registered Mechanical Engineer, willing to register in additional states (NCEES Record a plus)
  • Minimum 12+ years of professional experience in design of mechanical building systems with strong knowledge of building, energy, and mechanical codes
  • Proven CA experience, including successful field engineering to resolve conflicts and issues
  • LEED experience and passion for Sustainability (LEED AP a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and accomplishments (people, projects, budgets)
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through ambitious projects, industry recognition, speaking and/or writing engagements, etc.
