Full Job Description
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Manager - Smart Infrastructure Electronics R&D. This position will be based at Peachtree Corners, GA.

Siemens is seeking an experienced engineering leader to lead the mechanical engineering team within the Smart Infrastructure Electronics Research and Development Group. Product areas currently include high volume residential arc fault and ground fault circuit breakers, Automated Transfer Switch controllers, energy and temperature monitoring systems, residential test equipment, and complete Smart Home, cloud enabled controllable systems. Responsibilities will encompass all mechanical tasks and cover the entire product life cycle including development and design, prototyping, testing, validation, certification, and production support.

You'll make a difference with these duties:
  • Build and lead a high-performing engineering team focused on power products for residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
  • Manage mechanical design responsibilities across the full product lifecycle, including development, prototyping, testing, validation, certification, production launch, and sustaining support.
  • Partner with electrical hardware, software, test, integration, product management, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, application engineering, and field support teams to deliver complete product solutions.
  • Guide engineering priorities, resources, budgets, project schedules, tradeoffs, risks, and communication with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with applicable UL, NEC, and ANSI requirements, including UL 489, UL 943, UL 1699, and UL 61010 standards.
  • Support product launches and production ramp-up for high-volume products in collaboration with factory teams.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with the following:
    • Product development, engineering, or technical leadership with electromechanical products.
    • Leading engineering teams and complex product or lifecycle projects in a cross-functional environment.
    • Product design, verification and validation, regulatory certification, engineering change control, and structured problem-solving.
    • Collaborating with manufacturing organizations and geographically distributed teams.
    • Applying UL standards, including UL 489, UL 943, UL 1699, and UL 61010.
    • Developing engineering project schedules and estimating project costs, including labor, indirect expenses, and capital expenses.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including regular collaboration with factory teams, based on business needs.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage circuit protection or electrical distribution equipment.
  • Experience with mechanical 3D CAD tools such as Creo.
  • Experience with documentation systems such as Teamcenter.
  • Experience maintaining a cost center that includes people, projects, capital, and other expenses.
  • Experience with miniature circuit breakers and molded case circuit breakers.
  • Ability to navigate diverse perspectives, build consensus, and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The pay range for this position is $122,951 - $210,773 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
