Qualifications

• Master's degree with 10 years or Bachelor's degree with 15 years in Mechanical Engineering or oil & gas
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Oil & gas engineering/design experience preferred
• Experience with rotating equipment required
• Familiarity with CAESAR, PipeFLO, or similar software
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass PIV background check

Responsibilities

• Provide A/E mechanical engineering services for DOE Strategic Petroleum Reserve
• Lead mechanical design efforts for oil & gas projects, focusing on pumps, compressors, piping, valves, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels
• Prepare and review technical documentation including drawings and specifications
• Calculate piping, pump, pipe stress, control valve, and relief device parameters
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and DOE personnel to ensure project quality and timelines
• Conduct regular site visits to locations in Louisiana and Texas
