Job description

The day-to-day

Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and maintaining fabrication and assembly drawings, providing mechanical support to manufacturing for multiple government and space-qualified production programs, supporting environmental acceptance and qualification testing, and creating or updating thermal and structural analyses for mission-critical hardware. You will join a strong mechanical design and analysis team in Tempe, contributing to reliable, high-performance systems used in demanding operational environments.

What you'll need
  • 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
  • Design experience creating 3D parts and assemblies using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD system.
  • Experience creating, releasing, and maintaining fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Experience performing mechanical testing on packaged electronics such as shock, vibration, and thermal vacuum.
  • Ability to manage, allocate, and derive requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written and has the ability to work with others from multiple disciplines
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar relevant engineering degree
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Up to 10% domestic travel
